Re: #1 Poor leaders strive for compliance, not commitment - I'm a firm believer in what you focus on, you find.  This is insanely true with your interactions with your team.  Focus on the negative, and you will only see negative.  Focus on the positive, and you will watch them grow.  I think the trick is being a good listener (as you outline in #2), and knowing how to "meet your team where they are" to give them constructive feedback when you find those areas for improvement!</description>

		<description>This is a great VISION of what an Organization should be like.  Transparency at all levels lead to a much better work environment, but a work environment that is conducive to growth and quick to adapt to change and to adopt all that is new.  The pictures you paint here with your word-strokes are exactly where a success-forward thinking company should aim their sites.  

There is so much of the Keep it simple stupid in there- and it makes so much sense.  I have been involved with companies that work this way and I have been involved with companies that believe the opposite are truths...

Stay away from the latter!
